Americanafest Theme Art

Hatchet has worked with Americanafest since 2024 assisting with producing the items for the merch table as well as providing graphic design services.

However for the 2026 fest, Hatchet was presented with a new opportunity to create the theme artwork for the entire festival. Of course we said yes!

Keeping the festival's existing branding and art style in mind, we worked closely with the Americanafest team to make sure the design would be a hit with their audience.

The Tulsa Tee

Each year, Americanafest is sponsored by a city or state, giving festival-goers an opportunity to experience and learn about Americana music from a new area of the country.

The sponsor for 2026 was Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The concept for the shirt design? "Think Great Plains".

The grassy plains, the expansive sky, prickly-pear cacti, and the state bird, (the scissor-tailed flycatcher) all come together in the design to represent the great state of Oklahoma.

The AMA Doodle Tee

This design was created in collaboration with Lucas Dand, illustrator and long-time friend of Hatchet.

For the 2026 Americana Music Association shirt, the Americana team wanted something a little more personal, a little more fun, a little more locally minded. We knew immediately Lucas's style would be a great fit for this piece.

Nashville is the heart of music around the world. It's a big task to bottle that energy and put it on a shirt, but we sure tried.

We've chosen elements that represent Nashville with intentionally, while still being kitschey and playful. (Of course you still have to put a guitar on the shirt.)

One specific thing the Americanafest team requested was the signpost in the top corner of the design. It was important to them to highlight a handful of the beloved venues that the fest utilized. So many people have had life-changing experiences at these venues so it's only fair they get some love.

Our fox friend from the main artwork has found himself here as well, to help strengthen the festival theme for the year.
